Groundwater in Carbonate Rocks in The North Of Australia

The Northern Territory Branch of the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH) will be hosting the seminar“Groundwater in Carbonate Rocks in the North of Australia” in Darwin on the 15 August 2007. The seminar will be held in the NT Museum Theatrette Bullocky Point in Darwin.

2nd International Salinity Forum

Adelaide, South Australia, 30 March to 4 April 2008

The Second International Salinity Forum will provide an opportunity for international and Australian audiences to enhance the international network of scientific, engineering, policy and community interests associated with all aspects of salinity. It will provide a forum for translating scientific and engineering knowledge about salinity into sound policy, management and on-ground actions to secure long-term food production, protect land, water and vegetation resources and enhance quality of life globally.Delegates can exchange cutting edge knowledge about the science, engineering, policies and management practices relating to salinity, and particularly its associated water and human dimensions;
Conference themes are

  • The where, why and how of salinisation and water impacts;
  • Salinity and people-social and economic dimensions;
  • Policy and government;
  • Managing salinity on-the-ground
  • Sustaining the Environment
