UNSW Connected Waters Initiative – 2008 Coursework Program in Groundwater Resources

The UNSW offers a revised and updated coursework masters program in 2008. The focus of the course will be on groundwater resources although aspects of contaminated groundwater will also be included. There have been several permanent staff appointments in the groundwater area during 2007 and these staff will offer the program as a coordinated set of short courses. A part time project will be available at the end of 2008 that will include a week of hands on training in hydrogeological techniques. The UNSW is fortunate to have extensive fieldwork equipment and permanent technical staff to operate and demonstrate equipment.
Further information regarding course content and times of courses can be found at http://www.connectedwaters.unsw.edu.au/ by following the link to courses and then postgraduate education.
The MEngSci program is explained in full at http://www.civeng.unsw.edu.au/futurestudents/pg/plan/CVENDS8538.php
The MAppSci program is explained in full at http://www.handbook.unsw.edu.au/postgraduate/programs/2008/8702.html.

The UNSW CWI offers an M Eng Sci program through the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering or a similar program as a Masters of Applied Science and Technology through the School of Biology, Earth and Environmental Sciences in the Science Faculty. The majority of the material is offered as combinations of 3-day short courses. This is the best compromise between full-time attendance and complete distance education. All exams can be sat at your place of work after suitable procedures have been agreed. These courses are available to Australian (HECS-Help), New Zealand (HECS-Help) and international students (full fee).
