This year’s student night and IAH WA AGM is around the corner, please join us on Wednesday 25th November at the Theatrette in Central Park.
AGM will be followed by four five minute theses presented on a range of topics:
Allen June Buneavista
Using Radon-222 profiles to estimate recharge and discharge rates of surface water and groundwater systems.
Fe-mineral transformation for stimulated As sequestration.
Pablo Ortega Tong
Elucidating Physical, Mineralogical and Geochemical Controls of Electrokinetic In-Situ Leaching of Copper, aka: Juicing Rocks by Electrocution.
Modelling reactive transport of septic water inflow causing phosphate loading into Lake Goollelal.
This is a great opportunity to hear the findings of recent studies. There is a cash prize for what is voted the best talk of the evening.
The student talks will be preceded by the IAH WA AGM. If you are interested in helping out on the committee during 2021 please reach out to the current committee (or firstname.lastname@example.org) or nominate yourself at the AGM.
Please note we are also looking for people to help with the Australian Groundwater Conference that is scheduled to take place in Perth in November 2021.
There is currently a limit of 40 people at the Theatrette, so please book a ticket via Eventbrite. Alternatively, there is the online option – please find a link below to the Teams Live Event for the meeting:
