Salt Lake Potash (ASX:SO4) is the leading exploration and development company in Australia’s emerging salt lake potash sector.The Company aims to be Australia’s first producer of Sulphate of Potash (SOP), a high value niche potash fertilizer, producing SOP from salt lake brines with solar evaporation and processing.

A Senior Hydrogeologist is sought to be a leader in driving the exploration and development of the Company’s salt lake potash exploration projects throughout Australia.The position is Perth based and the appointed person will lead a small team of geologists and consultants and report to Company’s Directors.The position will require knowledge of all aspects of hydrogeological investigations related to Company’s existing and future projects, from scoping/concept study to design and implementation, field investigations, data gathering and interpretation, hydrogeological modeling, final reporting and interaction with external consultants, brokers and investors.The person appointed will be energetic and committed person and possess good inter-personal communication and report writing skills.An MSc in hydrogeology, hydro-geochemistry, groundwater engineering, engineering hydrology or related disciplines would be required together with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience.Practical knowledge of specialist packages such as Groundwater Vistas and Modflow is desirable. Knowledge of Landsim, Surfer, QGIS and CAD would be a significant advantage. Previous exposure to hydro-geochemical modeling packages such as PHREEQC and OLI would be considered highly favorably.Experience and a strong knowledge of JORC, ASX disclosure requirements and Department of Mines reporting are also considered highly favorably.Practical experience or knowledge of the conceptual process development of brine based mining operations, while not a requirement, would be a bonus.
