The National Centre for Groundwater Research and Training and the Australian Chapter of the International Association of Hydrogeologists are joining forces to deliver the Australian Groundwater Conference in Canberra in November 2015. We are looking forward to welcoming groundwater researchers, industry professionals and policy development specialists to this exciting event.

We are strongly committed to delivering a conference that enables delegates to examine the multi-dimensional challenges affecting the sustainable management of Australia’s groundwater resources in an innovative and engaging manner. We also want to create opportunities for delegates to share their experiences, inform best practice, and identify the steps they can take to bring about lasting improvements in the management of Australia’s vital groundwater resources.

We therefore want to involve you, as a potential delegate, in the development of the conference program. We are particularly keen to hear your views on the essential issues that you think the conference should address and how the key problems should be framed. We would also welcome any suggestions that you may have regarding speakers, workshops, discussion panels so that every delegate leaves the conference inspired with new ideas and equipped with techniques that can be readily applied in their professional environment.

All suggestions will be considered by the conference organising committee, with the conference themes announced on the conference website on 17th December 2014 and the call for abstracts opening on 2nd March 2015.

We hope that you will seize the opportunity to help develop the Australian Groundwater Conference from the ground up and will submit your ideas via an online survey by clicking this link. Please note that this survey will be available up until the 12th of November 2014.

Best wishes,

Australian Groundwater Conference Organising Committee
