For a limited time only….

The second special issue to be released out of ISMAR9 has just been published in June 2018 in the Springer journal Sustainable Water Resources Management on the theme MAR in Integrated Water Management. This new special issue has open access only until 11 August 2018. You can down load free copies of the 19 papers until then from the springer web site : https://link.springer.com/journal/40899/4/2/page/1. (After that it is intended there will be indefinite free access to the author formatted final manuscripts of these papers from the IAH MAR web site, by agreement with Springer.) For more information on this special issue, co-edited by Peter Dillon, Paul Pavelic, Adriana Palma Nava and Weiping Wang, including list of papers, please follow this link to on the IAH-MAR web site https://recharge.iah.org/thematic-issues-journals . Several papers generated by IAH Working groups led by Catalin Stefan and Nienke Ansems, (web based global MAR Inventory) and Andrew Ross ( factors affecting costs of MAR) are featured and are proving highly popular downloads already.

The first ISMAR9 special issue in the open access J Water edited by Pieter Stuyfzand and Niels Hartog and published last year on the topic Water Quality Considerations for Managed Aquifer Recharge Systems, also contains 19 papers, and remains open for free access indefinitely. This is a chance to reinforce the prompt from Enrique Fernandez Escalante that ISMAR10, Madrid 20-24 May 2019 is coming up and there is a call out now in the second circular for those wishing to run workshops and short courses to submit proposals by end of July http://www.ismar10.net/en/2018/04/25/headline-2/ There will be a call for papers coming out on September 1, so please start thinking about yours with a view to sharing your highest value practical scientific information in a form worthy of enduring record.

Also it can be reported that the working group on 60 years history of MAR now has 16 countries with national summaries on the IAH-MAR web site at https://recharge.iah.org/60-years-history-mar If your country is missing and you would like to take this on please do. The working group has submitted a paper to Hydrogeology Journal giving a global summary with the information collated over the last 2 years.
